We are seeking an occupational therapist for the neurology care unit in Malmö, part of the Neurology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Memory Disorders, and Geriatrics operational area (VO NRMG).
VO NRMG comprises both inpatient and outpatient care in Malmö, Lund, and Höör/Orup. Rehabilitation creates the foundation for patients to function optimally despite their injury or illness and to achieve good quality of life regarding work, family, and leisure. The rehabilitation process is based on WHO's Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF).
Rehabilitation staff in the neurology field work in multidisciplinary teams with the patient at the center. We focus on quality and integrate proven experience and evidence-based knowledge to achieve good and equitable care. Our neurology departments offer interdisciplinary rehabilitation medicine assessment and rehabilitation for individuals, primarily of working age, with activity limitations due to nervous system injury, musculoskeletal conditions, or chronic pain. We work with a focus on quality and integration of proven experience and evidence-based knowledge to achieve good and equitable care. We also have an expanded mission within nationally specialized care for our neuromusculoskeletal team.

DUTIES
We are seeking someone interested in placement in inpatient and/or outpatient care. Our inpatient care includes Neuro-OBS, an intermediate care unit with a fast-track stroke pathway requiring specific occupational therapy interventions. As an occupational therapist, you participate in discharge planning from inpatient care to the home environment, with the aim of implementing rehabilitative measures.
In this role, you analyze and assess the patient's ability to perform daily activities in the areas of personal care, housing, work, education, and leisure. This includes evaluating how body functions such as cognitive ability, hand function, and environment affect activity performance. Rehabilitation includes measures such as training, education, compensatory strategies using assistive devices, support services, and environmental modifications aimed at achieving goals formulated together with the patient.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed occupational therapist with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency at minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is required. It is advantageous if you have experience in assessment and evaluation of neurological function and activity capacity. Experience with ICF-based practice and interdisciplinary teamwork is also considered advantageous. We would appreciate if you have an interest in developing occupational therapy methods in relation to this patient population.
