Are you passionate about strengthening people's daily lives and recovery? We are seeking an occupational therapist for our specialist outpatient clinics within adult psychiatry. Your Workplace The psychiatric specialist units consist of the Eating Disorders Clinic, the Clinic for Emotional Instability, and the Learning Clinic. Here you will have the opportunity to work with three different interesting patient groups. We work in interdisciplinary teams where the focus is on participation and evidence-based care. The workplace is located in the Psychiatry Building at Centralsjukhuset in Karlstad. Your Responsibilities As an occupational therapist with us, you will work with assessing and treating patients' activity capacity, daily routines, and social contexts based on their individual needs. The role also includes conducting occupational therapy assessments in connection with neuropsychiatric evaluations. You will develop and implement occupational therapy interventions, both individually and in groups, with a focus on recovery and improved quality of life. The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in psychiatry and other relevant stakeholders to create comprehensive solutions for the patient. You will actively participate in team work where your expertise contributes to a coordinated care pathway. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and who have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. As a person, you are proactive, take responsibility, and feel confident in your own decisions. You readily contribute new ideas and help develop the work in practice. Furthermore, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work in an efficient manner, with the ability to see the bigger picture in both actions and decisions. The role requires a strong patient focus as well as a collaborative and solution-oriented approach to work. Experience working in psychiatric care is desirable.
