Your Workplace
Primary Care Rehabilitation East consists of occupational therapy and physiotherapy clinics in Kristinehamn and Filipstad, as well as a small portion of physiotherapy in Storfors. We also staff a care facility unit and care teams with occupational therapists and physiotherapists. Currently, we employ four occupational therapists, twelve physiotherapists, and one healthcare administrator.
Within Primary Care Rehabilitation, there are currently approximately 17 occupational therapists at various clinics throughout the county. Together, we regularly hold networking meetings to exchange experiences and develop our operations. We work for high quality care within the entire unit, are flexible, and provide support at clinics where needed. Collaboration with other parts of healthcare is an important part of our work. For us, high accessibility, good quality, and respectful treatment are important.

Your Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist with us, you work to help patients achieve or maintain the best possible activity and functional capacity, increased independence, and good health. You meet patients with varying needs for assessment, advice, evaluation, and treatment. The work includes, among other things, activity assessments, hand rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, and cognitive rehabilitation.
We also meet many patients with mental health issues, often stress-related. Treatment takes place both individually and in groups and can be conducted through both in-person visits and remote contacts when appropriate. We also work closely with other professional groups, such as physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, and physicians. In addition to patient work, you are also an important part of our continuous improvement efforts.
The position includes a primary placement at either the Occupational Therapy Clinic in Kristinehamn or the Occupational Therapy Clinic in Filipstad, which can be determined based on your personal preferences. Since the unit has shared responsibility for our clinics, travel between clinics during work may occur. The position may also include a small amount of work at the care facility unit in the event of regular occupational therapist absence.
Your Knowledge and Competencies
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. Additional qualifications include experience from work in primary care and further education in cognition and hand rehabilitation.
