About the role You work in a team together with a physiotherapist, nurses, and care staff, and your task is to provide quality of life. You see each individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. As an occupational therapist, you find together with the residents the best ways to use their own abilities in everyday life. You support and motivate people to develop and maintain their physical, cognitive, and social abilities. This often involves making assessments and adapting the daily environment. You also test and prescribe physical and cognitive aids. You get to guide your colleagues in rehabilitative interventions, approaches, transfer techniques, and more. You often have contact with the residents' loved ones. At Polhemsgården, the occupational therapist is also part of the dementia team, together with a physiotherapist, Silvia sister, and Silvia nurse. About Polhemsgården Polhemsgården in Solna consists of 80 apartments with a dementia focus and the day center Lyktan. Polhemsgården has nature and gardening as its profile. Time outdoors and activities in nature, parks, and gardens are natural parts of our daily life. We work with different nature themes throughout the year. Dementia certification: We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia and person-centered care through Silviahemmet and the dementia academy. Young Care: We collaborate with the company Ung Omsorg. This means a team of young people aged 14–18 visit us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities together with us to enhance the lives of our residents. Your experience and knowledge We believe that you who apply to us: Are drawn to work that is varied and requires extensive knowledge of healthcare and care. Enjoy meeting people in different situations. Are independent, can make your own assessments and decisions, and dare to think for yourself. Have a pedagogical approach and enjoy working in teams as well as supporting colleagues. You are a licensed occupational therapist and we would like to see that you have several years of experience in elderly care. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Other information Salary: We apply individual salary setting Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement.
