Make a difference. Every day. Are you an occupational therapist interested in working within palliative care? This could be the opportunity for you. The primary goal of palliative care is to relieve physical pain and provide support when disease is incurable, as well as to offer psychological, social, and existential support to patients and their loved ones. The care aims to help the patient achieve the best possible quality of life at the end of life while neither hastening nor postponing death. Do you have a natural empathetic approach and genuine commitment to patient wellbeing? Do you thrive in a work environment where collaboration, participation, and a positive climate are highly valued? Then you could be our new colleague! Here you will have the opportunity to work with the patient at the center of care, both in their own home environment and on the palliative care ward. You will be part of a competent and conscientious team. Together we create security, relief, and quality of life during one of life's most vulnerable phases. Operationally, the service is part of Close Care and Health, Mobile Teams and Specialized Palliative Care, southwestern Scania. Advanced Home Health Care (ASIH) and the palliative care ward provide specialized palliative care. The service is under continuous development and the two units work closely together. ASIH consists mainly of three teams serving enrolled patients, but also includes an outpatient team and a consultation team. The palliative care ward is an inpatient unit providing advanced end-of-life care. Patient needs guide visits, and we work both independently and in teams. Our interdisciplinary team consists of physicians, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing assistants, dietitians, and medical secretaries. The shared rehabilitation team currently consists of three occupational therapists, three physiotherapists, and three social workers. We are seeking someone interested in placement at both ASIH and the palliative care ward in Malmö, where you will be placed in one of the ASIH teams working with patients enrolled in home care, with part of your position at the ward. As an occupational therapist, you will also be part of a well-functioning Scania-wide network within Palliative Care and ASIH in Scania with regular meetings, both on-site and digitally. 1 position(s).
