Licensed Occupational Therapist for departments C5 and E4, two medical departments at Södertälje Hospital: As an occupational therapist with us, you'll be part of a small group of occupational therapists, some of whom work in outpatient care and several in inpatient care. We work closely together and help each other between departments as part of our daily work. Your main placement will be in medical inpatient care. You will spend the majority of your placement on a medical department specializing in stroke and other neurological diseases. A smaller part of the position includes work on a care unit specializing in cardiovascular diseases. You take responsibility for and perform occupational therapy interventions based on planning on your departments. Your tasks include assessing your patients' activity levels and living situations, performing ADL (Activities of Daily Living) assessments and training, assessing needs for and testing assistive devices, conducting cognitive assessments and assessments of physical function such as hand status, and when needed, making home visits. Your tasks also include collaboration with the patient and their family/loved ones, the department's other professions, our discharge team, and other parts of the rehabilitation chain. We regularly supervise students, and this is part of the occupational therapist role with us. Your personal qualities: We are looking for someone who is confident and stable, with a curious approach. You collaborate easily with others and also enjoy working independently. You are professional and empathetic in your manner and actions. You are a good problem solver and skilled at prioritizing your work, since meetings with patients, tasks, and workdays vary from day to day and can differ between departments. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Your qualifications: Requirements: - You are a Licensed Occupational Therapist with the right to practice within Swedish healthcare. Meritorious: - Previous experience working as an occupational therapist Employment form: Temporary contract for approximately 10 months. Possibility of working 80-100% full-time.
