Bergs Municipality is investing in municipal rehabilitation and is therefore seeking two motivated and engaged occupational therapists for our team. We're looking for someone who is driven by varied work, focused on development and solutions, and wants to work to ensure that each individual is given the opportunity to live as active, independent, and participatory a life as possible. Job Responsibilities With the investment in municipal rehabilitation, the operation is expanding with an additional occupational therapist. As an occupational therapist in municipal rehabilitation, you work in a team around the individual and follow our routines and processes. The work group currently consists of one occupational therapist, three physical therapists, one rehabilitation assistant, and an assistive device coordinator focused on the operation. With the expansion, the work group will consist of three occupational therapists and three physical therapists. You work in a team-based approach with a physical therapist in a geographic area. The municipality is divided into three areas – North, Central, and South – where you and the physical therapist are responsible for one area. Our clients are individuals who have home care in their own homes, LSS (disability services), personal assistance, short-term housing, and special residential facilities. A large part of the work involves conducting individual activity assessments, designing and implementing rehabilitation services, and prescribing medical technical assistive devices. The work also includes supervision and instruction for the individual, family members, and students, as well as training staff in everyday rehabilitation and assistive device management. In addition to working with a physical therapist, you work with other professions such as nurses, district nurses, benefits coordinators, and unit managers. There are vehicles available to the municipal rehabilitation team in the different areas that facilitate daily work. Qualifications The position requires that you are a licensed occupational therapist. Experience working in municipal rehabilitation services is desirable. Given the many contacts the position involves and our documentation requirements, your knowledge of the Swedish language needs to be very good (both spoken and written). A driver's license for a passenger car (B-license) is a requirement. Bergs Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality and we therefore consider it desirable if you have knowledge of South Sámi language and culture. Personal Qualities Since the work involves contact with people in different life situations, it is important that you have a positive approach and a constructive attitude. You also need to be flexible and have good planning and collaboration skills. Furthermore, you thrive working with a salutogenic approach and are skilled at seeing possibilities and solutions in your daily work.
