The Habilitation Clinic for Children and Youth serves children and young people up to and including age 17 with mobility limitations, intellectual disabilities and/or autism, as well as their families. We work person-centered, meaning the child, young person, and family are involved throughout the entire care process. At our clinic, we work in teams where occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, speech-language pathologists, special educators, recreation consultants, medical secretaries, doctors, nurses, and dietitians provide coordinated support. We are located in newly renovated and functional facilities together with habilitation services for adults, which provides excellent opportunities for collaboration and a smooth transition for our patients. The same building also houses Assistive Devices and Vision, Hearing, and Deaf Services. WORK DUTIES As an occupational therapist with us, you work to strengthen the child's or young person's opportunities for activity, participation, and independence in daily life. You work with, among other things: • assessing activity capacity and identifying support needs • providing advice, treatment, and guidance to children, young people, and their networks • prescribing and testing cognitive and other medical technology assistive devices • participating in home modifications and adaptation of other environments • collaborating with preschools, schools, healthcare, social services, and other stakeholders around the child or young person. The work is independent, but you are never alone. We value knowledge exchange and support each other in our daily work. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute with both expertise and commitment. You appreciate varied work, enjoy collaboration, and have the ability to plan and manage your own work. With us, you'll receive structured onboarding tailored to your previous experience and a supervisor who supports you during your initial period with the possibility of deeper learning through mentoring. You have regular professional meetings with strong collegial support. Work hours are during daytime, and on Mondays we work until 6:30 PM, which is compensated by leaving at 2:30 PM on Fridays or having one Friday off per month. We apply flexible working hours when work permits. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed occupational therapist authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. In addition, you must have a valid Class B driver's license. It is an advantage if you have experience working with children and young people, habilitation, cognitive support, or assistive device prescription. We welcome both those with experience in the field and those curious about developing in a role where you can work with children and young people within habilitation.
