The Social Care Administration in Borås Stad is responsible for the municipality's disability services, social psychiatry, and health and medical care services for these target groups. With approximately 1000 employees and 45 managers, we work continuously to improve the quality of our services for the people we serve.
About the Operation
We are looking for an occupational therapist who wants to work in a solution-focused, creative way and together with a reliable team in municipal health and medical care with a focus on disability services. You will be part of one of our three teams and work from Bryggaregatan in Borås but serve a defined geographical area where you meet people living in group homes, service housing, or ordinary housing, as well as participants in day activities.
Work Tasks
As an occupational therapist, you work to strengthen the individual's ability to manage their daily life—this means you work preventively, compensatorily, and always with the individual's needs in focus. You have access to proven methods and structures, but we also know that it takes courage to think new and creatively. Our target group is complex, which makes flexibility, attentiveness, and the ability to think outside the box important qualities in daily work. You work closely with a physiotherapist, nurse, nursing assistant, and rehabilitation assistant in a multidisciplinary team where we help each other and complement one another. We place great importance on you thriving in collaboration with others, but also having the ability to work independently. As an added benefit, we offer you four hours per week that you can freely use for work from home, which provides a good balance between structure and freedom.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist and ideally has experience working with people with disabilities. However, the most important thing is that you are engaged, curious, and confident in your role, and that you have the will to contribute to improving daily life for people with different functional variations. This is an incredibly meaningful role where you get to use both your expertise and your creativity.
