BUP Intermediate Care is part of BUP's section for Intensive Outpatient Care and offers specialized services to children, young people, and their families who need more intensive support. The facility is located at Arenavägen 33 in the Globen area.
We work according to FACT (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment) – a model based on flexibility, collaboration, and individualized interventions for patients with complex psychiatric challenges, often combined with comorbidities and reduced functional capacity. Treatment is tailored to each patient's and family's needs and takes place at the clinic, at home, or in other environments where the patient is located.
Our team includes over 20 professionals from various disciplines, including physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, therapists, and administrators. We value interprofessional collaboration, knowledge exchange, and an open work environment where everyone contributes their expertise.
Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist, you'll be an important part of our interprofessional team. You'll be responsible for occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children, young people, and their families. Your role includes:
- Assessing activity and functional capacity,
- Planning and implementing occupational therapy interventions,
- Contributing to rehabilitation planning,
- Providing consultative support to colleagues in working with patients' activity capacity,
- Collaborating with families and other people involved in the child's or young person's life.

Qualifications
A licensed occupational therapist credential is required.
Experience with occupational therapy work with children and young people in habilitation or child and adolescent psychiatry is advantageous.

About Us
BUP Stockholm's unit for young people with psychosis and bipolar disorder is part of BUP Stockholm. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Stockholm (BUP) provides specialized psychiatric care for children and young people under 18 years of age in Stockholm County. We are part of Stockholm County Healthcare Area, a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm. Together, BUP employs over 1,200 staff who meet more than 22,000 children, young people, and their families each year.
The position is filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be used for internal reallocation, in accordance with applicable regulations.
For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- Background checks are applied before employment decisions according to SLSO's guidelines for employment background checks.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional credentials, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guideline for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
