At Bräcke's children and youth residential facility Östergården, ten children and young people with various disabilities and needs live together. Here there is a dedicated rehabilitation team that works closely with the children and the staff members who are around them every day. We are now looking for a full-time occupational therapist based at Östergården. 25% of the position is also located at two other facilities in Bräcke Park on Hisingen. This gives you a broad scope of work, with great freedom to use your expertise where it's needed and to be part of several different contexts within Bräcke diakoni. Your Role in the Team As an occupational therapist at Bräcke diakoni in Gothenburg, you work primarily with the children at Östergården. Here, small changes can make a big difference and the work sometimes needs to develop over time. Interventions are tailored to the children's needs and can involve assistive devices, special adaptations, and positioning. You plan and follow up on your work independently and have considerable freedom to influence how it is organized. At the same time, you work closely with the residential staff, where supervision and your occupational therapy perspective are important parts of ensuring that interventions work in daily life. At Bräcke Östergården At Östergården, there are many different areas of expertise around the children. Residential staff and support educators know them well, while the rehabilitation team contributes physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, physicians, nurses, and dietitians. Together, there are good opportunities to follow the children over time and find solutions that work in their everyday lives. Beyond the close team at Östergården, you will also be part of a larger context within Bräcke diakoni. The facilities you work in are located together in Bräcke Park on Hisingen, and there are opportunities for collegial networks and experience sharing within the organization.
