We're excited that you're interested in working as an occupational therapist with us in Home Health and Care Services! Home Health and Care Services (HSIH) consists of occupational therapists, physical therapists/physiotherapists, nurses, and nursing assistants. In our great team, we have 23 occupational therapists, 14 physical therapists/physiotherapists, and 3 rehabilitation coordinators who work closely together. You'll become part of a work group with strong camaraderie and job satisfaction. We excel at motivating and supporting each other. Our target population is patients 18 years and older who need health and care services in their ordinary homes in Umeå Municipality. During fall 2026, we will strengthen HSIH by adding several occupational therapists and physical therapists. This is to enhance teamwork within HSIH and enable us to work with more preventive interventions through a rehabilitative and person-centered approach. New employees will be integrated into regular operations and will participate in developing our current methods. Your responsibilities As an occupational therapist, you'll work to create conditions that enable individuals to remain in their homes and live as independently as possible. Your work includes assessments of patients' functional abilities and living environments. Writing assessments, prescribing assistive devices, and training home care staff are common tasks. About you We're seeking a licensed occupational therapist. Previous experience in home health care, teamwork, or specialized fields such as neurology, orthopedics, or psychiatry is a merit, but we also welcome candidates with other work experience. The position requires a valid driver's license and excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. You are a positive and engaged colleague who wants to help develop our services. As a person, you have strong collaboration skills and enjoy working in teams while taking responsibility for your own contributions. You believe that professional and friendly communication, perhaps with a touch of humor, is a valuable tool for building good relationships with patients and colleagues. Personal suitability will be a significant factor in our recruitment. Heavy lifting occurs regularly, and you are expected to use assistive lifting devices in your work.
