VIA is a unit within Employment and Livelihood consisting of daily activities and business groups. Within VIA, 28 supervisors and support assistants work, of whom one specifically works with work capacity assessments and others with evaluation of completed activities. These assessments/documentation serve as a complement to supporting individuals toward their next step, which can range from studies, work, activities, or disability benefits. Individuals matched to VIA's activities come through employment consultants, who are responsible for individuals with LSS and SoL decisions, and through coaches at Jobbcentrum, Employment and Livelihood. These may be language-weak new Swedes, individuals with substance abuse issues, individuals with intellectual disabilities and various NPF diagnoses, mental health problems, long-term sick leave, etc. This position is a project employment for two years. Job Responsibilities As an occupational therapist, you work with assessing work capacity based on the individual's entire situation and increasing the participant's insight into their work prerequisites. You perform assessments, observations, activity and function evaluations, and document the process. You also work to identify assistive work devices that enable the participant to progress in work or studies. You will work with participants who are relevant within employment and livelihood. The work includes: Working closely with social workers, coaches, and supervisors around the participant Structured activity and work capacity assessments and identification of adaptation needs Identifying needs for assistive work devices that help the participant toward work and studies Developing activities linked to assessing activity and work capacity Developing common approaches to increase participants' work capacity Assessing cognitive, physical, and mental prerequisites Assessing opportunities and obstacles in relation to labor market demands Documentation and feedback to the individual and relevant parties Internal and external collaboration, for example with the Social Insurance Agency, the regional authority, the Public Employment Service, and adult education Your Profile Do you want to work with individuals far from the labor market and contribute to creating conditions for development, employment, and independence? You have a strong interest in work-oriented rehabilitation. You are confident in your profession, structured, and find it easy to build relationships with individuals in different life situations. For you to thrive in this role, we see that you want to work in a structured and creative way to identify people's best suited paths into the labor market. We would like to see that you have: Experience with work capacity assessments or activity assessments Knowledge of mental health issues, disabilities, and/or cognitive difficulties Experience with labor market initiatives and municipal activities Ability to work both independently and in a team Personal suitability is valued highly.
