We are now seeking an occupational therapist for a temporary position, as one of our occupational therapists is on parental leave until August 31, 2027. The position is full-time (100%). We welcome your application! Duties As an occupational therapist at Habilitation for Children and Young People, you will be part of a team together with a physiotherapist, speech-language pathologist, special educator, social worker, nurse, physician, and psychologist. Your responsibilities include assessing and evaluating the patient's abilities regarding, for example, activities of daily living, activity balance, motor skills, and time perception. Treatment interventions are then planned together with the team, the patient, and their network. Prescription of individually adapted assistive devices and orthoses is a major part of the work. The patient's own involvement and understanding of the interventions provided is important to us, and we work systematically with visual supports during and before visits, such as through picture reminders, schedule boards, sign language like AAC, and more. We work using a consultative approach where team members largely serve as advisors to the patient and their immediate environment, for example, guardians and school staff. Interventions can be provided both individually and in groups, at the clinic, in the patient's home, or at school. You will receive introduction, collegial supervision, and professional development work with other occupational therapists within Habilitation & Health. Qualifications You must be a licensed occupational therapist. Experience in habilitation work, working with children and young people, and interdisciplinary collaboration is a merit. You have a good ability to organize and structure your patient work independently. Collaboration skills, flexibility, and good communication are essential for us; therefore, great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. The position involves travel, so a valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
