Do you want to be one of us? Our wonderful colleague is moving to the mainland and we are now looking for you, an occupational therapist with an interest in hand rehabilitation. The Hand Clinic is a well-established part of the rehabilitation unit Korpen in Visby, centrally located on our beautiful island. At the Hand Clinic, four occupational therapists work on 3.5 full-time positions. You will come to a workplace with engaged colleagues and a strong interest in the field. Our patients come from both primary care and specialist care. The work is conducted in close collaboration with the orthopedic clinic at Visby Hospital and the hand surgeon at Södersjukhuset in Stockholm. We offer one wellness hour per week as well as 3000 kr wellness allowance/year and regular professional development. Your Responsibilities You will work with occupational therapy intervention and treatment/training in the field. Your tasks are to assess and analyze activity in daily life for patients who have suffered injury or illness with resulting functional impairment affecting hand function. Treatment may consist of hand training/home exercise programs and tasks such as cast removal and mobilization after surgery, orthosis fabrication, and fitting of prefabricated orthoses. We collaborate with primary care physiotherapy and existing health centers on the island. Who Are You? We are looking for you as a licensed occupational therapist and we would like to see at least two years of professional experience. We expect you to have good knowledge of hand anatomy and physiology as well as experience with orthosis fitting. It is advantageous if you have experience in orthopedic operations and hand injury rehabilitation. You need to be able to work independently and take great responsibility for your tasks. Your colleagues will be available for support and you will receive a mentor when you start with us. Great emphasis will be placed on collaboration skills and personal suitability.
