We are now looking for an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer for an exciting consulting assignment with a leading industrial company that is in a period of change and development. In this role, you will work both strategically and operatively to drive systematic occupational health and safety work forward. You will be an important specialist function that supports managers and the organization with occupational health and safety matters, while contributing to developing a strong and sustainable safety culture. The goal is clear: through a proactive approach, identify, prevent and reduce risks and create conditions for a safe work environment for everyone in the organization. About the assignment In this role, you will be an important support function for both managers and the organization. You are responsible for developing and ensuring systematic occupational health and safety work, monitoring changes in legislation and translating new requirements into practical and organization-adapted methods. The work is conducted close to production and other operational functions, which requires both collaboration skills and independence. Example of work tasks As an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer, you will, among other things: Drive and develop systematic occupational health and safety work. Contribute to strengthening and developing the organization's safety culture. Conduct risk assessments, analyses and investigations and translate results into concrete improvement measures. Investigate accidents, incidents and risk observations to ensure learning and preventive work. Support, coach and train managers and employees within occupational health and safety. Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements and ensure these are implemented in the organization. Interpret regulations and communicate requirements and guidelines in a clear and pedagogical manner. Drive improvement initiatives and contribute occupational health and safety expertise in change and development projects. Who you are You have relevant higher education or engineering training in occupational health and safety, technical or related fields. You have experience with occupational health and safety work in an operational environment and feel confident translating regulatory requirements and guidelines into practical work. We would like to see that you have experience from industrial, manufacturing or warehouse operations and a good understanding of the challenges and risks in an operations-oriented environment. Meritorious is experience with management systems for occupational health and safety, for example ISO 45001. For success in this role, we believe you are: Initiative-taking and have the ability to drive matters from idea to implementation. Have good analytical skills and can translate complex information into concrete measures. Communicative and pedagogical in dialogue with different target groups. Have high administrative accuracy and work systematically with documentation, follow-up and improvement work. Comfortable in an independent role while building good relationships and collaborating effectively with the organization. About the assignment The assignment is full-time for 6 months, with good opportunities for extension. The role is mainly based at the client's facility as the organization needs an on-site and operations-oriented occupational health and safety function, but some flexibility exists for remote work.
