Job Responsibilities In the Labor Market Department, we work together to equip and develop people far from the labor market so they can move into employment or studies. We are divided into 5 units where everyone is needed and contributes to fulfilling our mission. Together, we work for a labor market accessible to all, and so that those we serve reach their full potential and develop through us. At the Center for Labor Market Employment (CFA) unit, we have the professional category of labor market consultants. As a labor market consultant (AMK), you will work with Gothenburg residents who are eligible for various forms of labor market initiatives such as public subsidized employment (OSA), wage subsidies for development in employment (LFU), introduction jobs, start-up jobs, etc.—the wage subsidies that our cooperation partner the Swedish Public Employment Service can support. The goal of these placements is for the Gothenburg resident to move on to work on the open labor market and/or to studies. In your role as AMK at the unit, you will support employees with, for example, disabilities to manage their employment and progress in their rehabilitation, as well as people who are weak in Swedish language or need support in their employment for other reasons. This involves close collaboration with the workplace supervisor and unit manager. You will also work with the employee's path to the open labor market or alternatively to studies. It also includes that you, together with colleagues and the unit manager, participate in developing the operations and its work processes, for example using the method individualized supported employment (IPS). A large part of the role is based on collaboration, both internal collaboration with colleagues in other units as well as external collaboration with workplaces, authorities, and other partners. The assignment includes work toward deadlines, which means you must be comfortable making independent, well-founded decisions within given frameworks. Documentation is primarily done in the IT support system GWA. If you want to contribute knowledge, commitment, and work joy, you are welcome to submit your application! Qualifications You should have a completed bachelor's degree with a behavioral science, social science, or other orientation that the employer considers relevant. To succeed in your role, we see it as important that you have experience working with people with various types of difficulties that result in being far from the labor market. In addition, you should have experience and good knowledge of labor market issues. It is also important to have documented experience of collaboration with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, or other authorities. The role requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. We see it as a merit if you have experience with MI (motivational interviewing) and Supported Employment. Additionally, it is a merit if you have a category B driver's license. We believe you can oversee your own area of responsibility, put your own operation's significance in a larger context, and show interest in/collaborate on overarching matters. The role requires that you listen to other people in order to understand their needs, and that you actively seek others' perspectives and are receptive to them. That you have the ability to work together with others to complete tasks and reach goals, and that you promote a respectful work climate. You also need to be comfortable in social contact situations and be able to stand by decisions made and can convey uncomfortable messages when needed.
