The Employment Unit's mission is to support people outside the job market through both individual coaching support and structured group initiatives that strengthen participants' ability to achieve their goals. We work together to create opportunities for people to move toward work, education, and self-sufficiency. We operate based on the new activity requirement, which means a clear focus on activity, participation, and progression. As an Employment Consultant, you will meet people with different backgrounds, experiences, and needs, while contributing to developing initiatives that make a real difference for individuals. We work with various forms of labor market measures such as work trials, internships, language internships, and adjusted employment. About the Position Your main task is individual work with participants, including coaching conversations, mapping, assessment, and follow-up. You support participants in their journey toward self-sufficiency by creating structure, monitoring progress, and coordinating initiatives around the individual. The role includes leading and conducting group activities in, for example, workplace knowledge, motivation, and work-preparation activities—an important part of our operations given the activity requirement. You guide participants in job searching, match them with internship positions, and maintain ongoing dialogue with collaboration partners. Administration and project work are a natural part of the assignment. As an Employment Consultant, you become part of a team that together develops and drives our labor market initiatives forward. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree—for example, as a behavioral scientist, social psychologist, or equivalent education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. Meritorious: Have experience supporting people toward work or education. Good knowledge of the labor market, the Employment Service's initiatives, and educational pathways. Good administrative skills and experience with ongoing documentation in operational systems. Have experience working in collaboration with other government agencies such as Social Services, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Employment Service. To succeed as an Employment Consultant, you need a strong interest in working with people, and we appreciate experience in similar work. You need a solution-focused approach and a good ability to meet individuals with different circumstances. You are a team player with good ability to collaborate, both with colleagues and other partners. You thrive in a constantly changing and developing operation. A category B driver's license is required. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
