The Labor Market and Development Unit is an engaged workplace where we work together to create opportunities for people to move toward employment, education, and self-sufficiency. Our mission is to support individuals outside the labor market through both individual coaching and structured group initiatives that strengthen participants' conditions for achieving their goals. We work based on the new activity requirement, which means a clear focus on activity, participation, and progression. As a Labor Market Consultant, you will meet people with different backgrounds, experiences, and needs, while contributing to developing initiatives that make a real difference for the individual. An important part of the work is collaboration. We work closely with colleagues in social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, educational activities, the region, the business sector, and other important actors to create sustainable pathways forward for our participants. With us you will meet engaged colleagues, straightforward collaboration, and an evolving operation. We value trust, competence, and new thinking and believe that the best results are created together. Here you have the opportunity to make an impact, develop, and contribute to meaningful work where people's futures are in focus. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a Labor Market Consultant, you become part of a team that together develops and drives our labor market initiatives forward. Your main task is individual work with participants, where coaching conversations, goal formulation, and follow-up are central parts. You support participants in their steps toward self-sufficiency by creating structure, following up on progress, and coordinating initiatives around the individual. The role also includes leading and conducting group activities such as labor market knowledge, motivation, and work-preparation activities, an important part of the operation given the activity requirement. You guide participants in job seeking, match them with internship positions, and maintain ongoing dialogue with employers and collaboration partners. Documentation and work in our digital systems are a natural part of the assignment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, behavioral science, or other relevant post-secondary education with a focus on working with people. You have experience in coaching and motivating work and are accustomed to meeting people in transition. Knowledge of labor market issues and experience collaborating with authorities is considered a merit. You are independent, organized, and confident in leading both individual conversations and group initiatives. You have a professional, respectful, and solution-focused approach and thrive in work where you collaborate closely with colleagues and external actors. Good computer skills are necessary for the administrative parts of the work and a class B driver's license is a requirement. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, ends: 2027-12-31. Employment form: Fixed-term employment, parental leave substitute 261201-271231. To ensure the quality of our recruitment process, we work in a competency-based recruitment tool. We do not use cover letters in our recruitment process. Trade union representatives can be reached through the municipality's customer service at 0435-280 00.
