We are now seeking an employment consultant specializing in working with adults for the Work, Employment and Integration unit in Vara Municipality.
Your Role
In your work as an employment consultant, you will use conversation as your primary tool. Your role is to support individuals toward employment or other self-sufficiency and create conditions for change work. You will also work to document the participant's process, work capacity, and the adjustments the participant needs in daily life.
We work from an empowerment pedagogical approach where collaboration is an essential part. Together with colleagues in the unit, you will help develop services to meet the participants' needs in the future.
Your Knowledge and Experience
You have post-secondary education with, for example, a focus on behavioral science or human resources. You also have substantial experience working with people's change processes, preferably with experience from one of our collaboration partners.
Experience mentoring individuals with mental health issues, disabilities, or other health-related obstacles is requested. You have a genuine interest in the current target group and well-developed social competence with a strong ability to build trusting relationships.
Knowledge of empowerment pedagogy is a merit, along with access to MI, 7TJUGO, or similar methods. We would like to see that you have experience working with groups.

We are a unit that makes a difference for Vara Municipality's residents. In addition to various labor market initiatives, we implement the municipality's daily operations according to LSS, reception of newly arrived residents, and budget debt counseling.

The target group we work with is ages 16-66 years.
