Do you want to make a difference and contribute to people's path toward employment and self-sufficiency? We are looking for an engaged, communicative, and solution-oriented employment consultant who wants to help strengthen individuals' opportunities to establish themselves in the job market. About the Workplace The Employment and Integration Unit (AME) is part of the Social and Employment Board, where we work in close collaboration with other units within the board, primarily Economic Assistance, but also with units such as Adult Services, Children and Youth, and Social Services. Collaboration and a unified social service approach are important parts of our work. You will contribute to building comprehensive solutions around the individual with the goal of strengthening conditions for self-sufficiency and a sustainable life. As a staff member within AME, you work with colleagues in good fellowship and an open work environment with strong commitment. The unit has various practical activities led by work supervisors. We also have employment consultants, coordination teams, UVAS (young people who neither work nor study), KAA (municipal activity responsibility), seasonal work, job centers, and integration programs, among other things. We currently have 20 colleagues, and support is available daily from colleagues, three team leaders, and a unit manager. Together with your colleagues, you will support and challenge participants both through individual support and in groups. The work is carried out through internships, job search activities, study visits, health-promoting initiatives, and coaching conversations. Collaboration is an important part of the role, both internally and externally. Job Responsibilities In your role as an employment consultant, you meet individuals who for various reasons have difficulty finding work and have not succeeded in entering the job market. Your task is to enable step-by-step progression toward employment and/or studies, as well as support the individual in targeted interventions. Through individual conversations, skills assessments, group activities, and motivational initiatives, you create conditions for each individual's progression toward work or education. You collaborate with employers to find appropriate work trial placements and contribute to developing sustainable solutions for each participant's needs. Together with your colleagues, you will support and motivate participants both in individual work and in groups. The work is carried out through internships, job search activities, study visits, health-promoting initiatives, and coaching conversations. Additionally, it may include accompanying participants in practical work, especially at the beginning of an internship or start of employment. AME also has responsibility for implementing municipal initiatives within the framework of the new activity requirement reform. The activity requirement means that people receiving subsistence support must be offered activities by the municipality to maintain their support and move closer to work and studies. These initiatives may include group activities, individual coaching, language-promoting initiatives, competency-enhancing activities, work training, internships, and supported employment. Regarding the activity requirement, an important task of the employment consultant is to establish arenas where activities can be carried out. This must occur in close collaboration with the Employment Agency, SFI, Economic Assistance, employers, and colleagues in the unit. We also currently have an ESF project "Path to Work" aimed at helping people with long-term benefit dependency and social exclusion move closer to the job market. Qualifications You have appropriate education such as a degree in behavioral science or other higher education qualification. It is desirable that you have previously worked in this field, both within social work and on employment issues, and preferably have experience with the BIP (Employment Indicator Project) method and motivational conversations. You need to have good people skills and a feel for working with people with different support needs. You are a problem-solver who sees opportunities before obstacles, who is motivated by achieving development, and you drive innovation. You are flexible, good at collaboration, and skilled at building relationships with people. You are persistent and patient with a focus on achieving sustainable, long-term results together with the individual. You have the ability to view the individual from a holistic perspective and are experienced in working with groups. The work involves many different contacts and documentation, so you need to be organized in your work, self-driven, have digital skills, and good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Personal suitability will be particularly considered. A Class B driver's license is required. Terms of Employment Full-time, permanent position, daytime hours. Start date by agreement.
