You have case responsibility, which includes distributing and following up on cases, as well as supporting and mentoring social workers in their investigation and assessment work. You lead and allocate daily work and contribute to structure, quality, and a good work environment. In this role, you work closely with the unit manager and other team leaders. Together, you drive methodology and development initiatives from an operational perspective and work to develop the organization in line with changing needs and conditions. An important part of your assignment is to contribute to improved quality in the assessments, investigations, and interventions offered by the department. You work to ensure that the right children and youth receive the right support at the right time. This includes supporting social workers in complex assessments and, together with the group, developing approaches based on the child's needs, rights, and best interests. The unit works with investigation and assessment of children and youth, primarily under the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act with Special Provisions on the Care of Young People (LVU), and other relevant legislation. Work is conducted using BBIC as a structure and with a focus on risk and protective factors. We place great emphasis on children, youth, and their families feeling involved in the process and on work characterized by transparency, integrity, and a clear child perspective. Challenges and opportunities Within the unit, we actively work toward politically set goals to reduce the number of investigation days and placement days. We develop, among other things, network activities and review various types of interventions and community-based solutions. We are therefore looking for someone with positive drive, genuine commitment to social work, and a willingness to develop the organization together with others. What you need to bring Requirements Sociology degree. Experience in authority work within children and youth social services. Good knowledge of the Social Services Act, LVU, and other relevant legislation. Experience with investigation and assessment work for children and youth. You express yourself well in speech and writing. Meritorious Experience in team leadership, coordination, or mentoring of social workers. Experience driving methodology and development initiatives. Training in and experience working according to BBIC. Knowledge of Signs of Safety and Motivational Interviewing. Experience with change and development work within social services. Employment type, scope, and start date Employment type: Permanent Scope: Full-time Start date: November 2, 2026 For this role, the entry salary is normally between 49,000 - 54,000 kr depending on experience and qualifications.
