About the Workplace
Eskilstuna Parish consists of four congregations, a large funeral service operation, two preschools, and comprehensive support functions with many different competencies.
The parish's funeral service consists of two main divisions: service, which is responsible for administration, chapels, and crematorium, as well as cemetery, which is responsible for maintenance and development of the parish's six cemeteries. The cemeteries we manage are St. Eskil's Cemetery approximately 5 km outside Eskilstuna, Cloister Cemetery in central Eskilstuna, and rural cemeteries in Gillberga, Lista, Öja, and Västermo.
Cemetery operations are divided into four work teams, each with a work supervisor. We are now seeking a new work supervisor for one of two teams at St. Eskil's Cemetery.

Job Responsibilities
As a work supervisor at the cemetery, you have personnel and work leadership responsibility for your team, which consists of 4–20 employees depending on the season. Your main tasks are:
Plan, coordinate, follow up on, and practically lead cemetery maintenance for your team.
Ensure that maintenance is kept at a good level.
Fulfill your personnel responsibilities with associated tasks, such as personnel planning, recruitment, employee and salary discussions, personnel administration, and more.
Work systematically with workplace environment efforts according to the allocation of workplace environment tasks from your superior.
Participate in steering committees and other working groups and projects concerning your area of operations.
In your role as work supervisor, you are expected to be actively involved and driven in development and change work necessary for the operations. You need to cooperate with other functions both within the funeral service, in the rest of the parish, and with external customers, visitors, and suppliers.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
is trained as a gardener, or has other documented education and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent,
has documented experience working in a supervisory position,
has good computer skills,
holds a valid B driver's license for manual transmission,
has good physical fitness, as the work can be physically demanding,
has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
As a person, you are a clear leader with good communication skills who finds it easy to talk, listen, and work together with others. You are self-directed and driven and can inspire your employees. As a leader, you are present and practice what you preach. You work in an organized and structured manner and therefore carry out your tasks in a responsible way.
