Your Responsibilities
As a supervisor at the carpentry workshop in Tornby, you are responsible for participants in labor market initiatives. Your main tasks as a supervisor include providing guidance both individually and in groups. You will conduct regular follow-up meetings and collaborate with other actors within the municipality as you work together with the individual and their development. The ultimate goal for employees/participants is to move forward toward studies and/or work with or without support in the regular job market.
At the carpentry workshop, your responsibilities will also include carrying out construction projects together with participants in a coaching and guiding role. The role also includes conducting certain theory sessions for participants combined with guidance in practical work, for example instruction and guidance in carpentry. As a supervisor, you work to promote participant progression toward work or studies, which should also be documented. As a supervisor, you also handle invoicing, documentation, and follow-up meetings with partner organizations.
Your Workplace
The Integration and Labor Market Administration has approximately 350 employees in the Work Life and Support Services Department (ALF) and the Labor Market Initiatives Department (AMI). We strengthen the opportunities for Linköping residents who depend on financial assistance to become self-sufficient and independent. We are now seeking a supervisor for the carpentry workshop, which is part of the Production unit. At the Carpentry Workshop, we receive assignments from administrations for work such as building windbreaks, outdoor furniture, or insect boxes.
The workplace is located at Dvärggatan 4 in Tornby, and working hours are daytime Monday-Friday with flexible working arrangements. You will be based in the Tornby facilities but will move around within the municipality.
About You
We are looking for someone with a completed upper secondary education and training in construction or similar, as deemed equivalent by the employer. We consider it meritorious if you have a vocational college or university degree in pedagogy, social work, behavioral science, or work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
You need to have previous experience working in the carpentry industry. If you have experience guiding individuals in need of extra support and experience documenting others' progression, we consider this meritorious.
