JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As our current supervisor is moving on to a new position within the administration, we are now seeking an engaged supervisor for the Parks Department in Alvesta Municipality. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute energy, structure, and positive leadership to our operations. You are interested in developing work with the municipality's green spaces and have a particular interest in sustainable management and biological diversity. Together with employees and colleagues, you create attractive, pleasant, and sustainable outdoor environments for the municipality's residents. As a supervisor, you are responsible for planning, leading, and following up on the daily work within the Parks Department. You work proactively and ensure that the work team has the right conditions to perform their work efficiently and with high quality. The work tasks include maintenance and upkeep of public areas, plantings, playgrounds, and work in our urban-adjacent forests. The role involves close leadership where you combine planning and supervision with practical work alongside your team in the field. The position also includes winter preparedness responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with education in the Green Sector and extensive experience in green space management. Good knowledge of plants is a requirement. You have several years of experience in supervision or a similar role that we consider equivalent. We place great importance on your personality and believe you will fit well with us. Good computer skills and a B-category driver's license are required, and we would like to see an E-category driver's license as well. Meritorious qualifications include machine operation experience, E- and C-category driver's licenses, chainsaw certification, brush cutter certification, Road Work certification, and experience with greenhouse cultivation.
