The Environment and Community Development Administration, with over 100 employees, develops and manages the city's and countryside's infrastructure within urban planning, construction, traffic, operations, environment, and business – always with sustainability in focus. The Traffic and Land Division, one of nine divisions, has approximately 30 employees and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of streets, parks, nature reserves, and traffic systems. Work Tasks As a supervisor with us, you have a central role in the operation and maintenance of the city's infrastructure. You are responsible for leading, developing, and following up on work within your areas and actively contribute to the development of operations. The role includes: - developing, managing, and quality-assuring work processes within operations and maintenance - planning, leading, and distributing work in smaller facility projects, such as renovation of playgrounds and land and restoration work after excavation - ensuring that operations and external maintenance are performed according to applicable functional descriptions, operating instructions, and maintenance plans - monitoring production through our GPS-based quality follow-up system - ensuring that schedules, quality, and delivery are met within operations - driving improvement work, investigations, and follow-ups You work closely with other functions in site management, such as operations managers, operations engineers, and other supervisors in operations. On-call duty may be part of the position. Qualifications The role requires: - Post-secondary education in streets, landscaping, or construction/civil works, or documented work experience in supervision of land/civil works or landscaping and outdoor environments - Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing - Good IT skills and ability to quickly learn new systems - Daily use of smartphone (iPhone), tablet, or computer for quality assurance and handling feedback from residents - B-class driver's license for manual transmission Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented and organized, with a good ability to plan and organize your work. Since the role involves many contact points, both internally and externally, you are a relationship-building person who enjoys collaboration. You take initiative, drive work forward, and see opportunities for improvement. Communication is an important part of the role, and you express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing. Meritorious Qualifications - Experience in supervision within municipal/state operations and maintenance of streets/parks - Experience working in public sector operations - Experience in supervision of winter road maintenance - Blueprint reading/surveying - Experience with contract law, ABT, AMA Employment Terms Permanent full-time employment.
