We are now looking for two lead cooks in our school kitchens at Mössebergsskolan and Kinnarps förskola/skola. If you have great enthusiasm and a passion for culinary excellence and want to lead the daily work in the kitchen, we offer you an exciting and developmental job.
What can we offer you?
As a lead cook, you are part of a larger work team. You have overall responsibility for the kitchen regarding meal preparation, planning, and structuring the workday, and you participate actively in daily operations. You are responsible for the facility's ordering, quality control, and contribute your expertise to menu planning. In close collaboration with the kitchen chef, you actively work to advance development in cooking, baking, and sustainable meals. Of course, based on the municipality's meal policy and other guidelines and recommendations for the operation. You are a role model in everyday work and contribute to a workplace where collaboration, respect, and good service characterize interactions with meal guests, colleagues, and other facilities.
What are we looking for in you?
We are looking for someone who is trained as a cook and has solid experience in the profession, with a focus on restaurant and public meal service. You are confident in your professional role, service-oriented, and enjoy working in a group with others. As a leader, you have a good palate, are resourceful, creative, and have the ability to lead a team toward new challenges. You are passionate about cooking and want to continuously develop. As a lead cook, you should be stress-resilient, able to adapt to change, and have the ability to build good relationships with both colleagues and customers. Previous experience with purchasing, menu planning, leadership, and planning daily operations is a requirement. We would like you to have knowledge of nutritional analysis systems. Fluent Swedish in speech and writing is required.
