We are looking for two employment consultants for the Labor Market Unit (AME). With us, you will get a broad and meaningful role where you coach adult Tyresö residents toward employment or studies. Our goal is for more Tyresö residents to take the step into the working life.
The Labor Market Unit exists for Tyresö residents who need extra support on their way to work, studies, or other benefits, and we also run the municipality's summer job process for young people. We always start from the assumption that everyone wants to and can contribute in the labor market, and our work is based on a couple of clear principles: work and study focus from day one, the individual owns their planning, and we are available as support and sounding board. We work based on evidence-based methods such as motivational interviewing, Supported Employment, Supported Education, and Case Management.
About the position
As an employment consultant, you will work with the following, among other things:
Coaching toward employment and studies. You meet Tyresö residents who need support on their way toward employment, studies, or other benefits. Together you map out the current situation and next steps, establish a labor market plan, and follow it continuously. You build relationships where the individual feels safe and involved, while keeping the direction toward the goal: self-sufficiency through employment or studies.
Employer contact. You actively work with employer contacts. You enjoy developing new collaborations with employers, maintaining and sustaining existing employer contacts, presenting participants to employers, working with matches that are good for both Tyresö residents and employers, and providing support when internships and employment begin to ensure they continue and become long-term employment.
Group activities. You also work with organizing group activities focused on helping our Tyresö residents take the next step toward employment and studies.
Summer jobs. One of the positions will also, for part of the year, be involved in the municipality's summer job process. This involves seeking out and building relationships with workplaces within the municipality, associations, and the business community to create more summer job positions. It also involves matching young people (16–17 years old) to the right position based on their circumstances and special needs. This also includes administrative tasks in digital systems, such as matching, documentation and follow-up, as well as administration related to wage payments.
The positions are in the unit as a whole and involve being part of and driving development work where exact tasks may vary over time based on the needs and development of the operations.

Who are you?
You have an academic degree, for example in social work, behavioral science, human resources/HR, pedagogical education, career guidance and counseling, or another field we consider equivalent. You have experience in guidance, coaching, recruitment, or similar work in the labor market.
You enjoy supporting people into employment or studies, building relationships, and working with employer contacts. You are also interested in organizing group activities. As a person, you are preferably organized and comfortable driving processes, while being flexible when everyday work requires it. You are collaborative, unpretentious, and enjoy working in a team where we help each other.
It is a merit if you have experience with the Swedish Public Employment Service's processes or with evidence-based methods such as motivational interviewing (MI), Supported Employment (SE), Supported Education (SEd), or Case Management (CM).
It is also a merit if you speak languages other than Swedish/English, such as Arabic, Dari, Persian, Tigrinya, or Somali.

The Labor Market and Social Services Administration's mission is to help Tyresö residents in need of extra support in various ways. Our tasks include, among other things, child and youth care, substance abuse care, social psychiatry, as well as family law and financial assistance to families and individuals.
