One of our employment consultants now wants to try their wings elsewhere. We therefore need an employment consultant who enjoys motivating people to take on challenges and reach their full potential, as well as providing support to individuals, employers, and educational providers in that process. The Social Services Department consists of 600 employees with a broad range of responsibilities. The department is divided into five operational areas and is present throughout the municipality. We are responsible for providing care and services, support, and healthcare to municipal residents who need it, at all stages of life. A day as an Employment Consultant at Work and Integration The role of employment consultant involves mapping individuals' circumstances and guiding, supporting, and matching them to employment or studies. Work and Integration have project funds from ESF to support people far from the labor market toward employment or studies. You will work with participants with complex support needs and maintain close contact with employers, both private and public. A large part of the work involves collaboration with other actors in individual cases. As an employment consultant, you document and follow up on the individual's planning. Work and Integration in Krokom works based on the BIP study and uses IPS-inspired methods to achieve the best results. Your competence For this position, you need: Academic education in a relevant field such as social worker, behavioral scientist, study and career counselor, or rehabilitation specialist Experience working with newly arrived immigrants, long-term unemployed, or people with mental health issues Driver's license category B To succeed in the role of employment consultant, you have a strong interest in labor market and education issues and are solution-oriented. You have the ability to work independently as well as a well-developed ability to collaborate. You are comfortable with employer contacts and have good documentation practices. It is desirable that you also: Have experience working with the IPS method or MI (motivational interviewing) Have knowledge of the results from the BIP study Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
