The Social Care Administration at Borås City is responsible for the municipality's disability services, social psychiatry, and health care services for these target groups. With approximately 1,000 employees and 45 managers, we continuously work to improve the quality of our services for those we serve.
About the Activity
Daily Activities / State-Funded Employment is part of the Social Care Administration, which operates services for people with disabilities, social psychiatry, and manages health care activities in this area. As a specialized administration, we have a unique opportunity to work with shared goals for the area, a holistic perspective, and innovative thinking.
The goal of the activity is to help individuals grow and dare to take new steps in their own development based on their own circumstances.
The activity is growing, and we are now expanding with an additional employment consultant.
Responsibilities
As an Employment Consultant, you will independently be responsible for a number of participants with some form of disability under LSS or SoL, who need support to engage in work-like activities. You will conduct assessments and mappings and guide participants to the right activities within Borås City or to the open job market. You are responsible for documentation, implementation plans, and provide support to participants and supervisors in the workplace. The position also includes collaboration with other stakeholders around the participants. You will be part of a team with five other employment consultants and a support educator.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of an exciting, challenging, and developmental work. You need to be initiative-taking, able to work independently, and have a talent for collaboration. Experience working with people who have disabilities is a requirement. Since you will sometimes work with participants in different environments, you need to be in good physical condition. You must have completed higher education in disability and society, pedagogy, or other equivalent education that the employer considers appropriate. Documentation is part of the work, and therefore you must have good knowledge and experience in documenting. A B-class driver's license is required. Training in Supported Employment is a merit. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
