Work and Integration is a unit within Individual and Family Services. We constantly work to improve our support for people entering the workforce or pursuing education. We offer, among other things, time-limited employment, work training, internships, guidance and coaching, as well as job search activities and job matching. Most people who come to us do so through the Employment Agency or Individual and Family Services. We currently have three different work training arenas: Återbruk/ÅVC, café, and maintenance services. One of our work supervisors at Återbruket will be on leave to try other work, and therefore we are looking for a work supervisor. The Social Services Department consists of 600 employees with a broad range of responsibilities. The department is divided into five operational areas and is present throughout the municipality. It is responsible for providing care and services, support, and health care to municipal residents who need it, at all stages of life. A day as a Work Supervisor at Återbruket As a work supervisor, you develop people's abilities through guidance and support in work, with the aim of testing and developing their work capacity. Work supervision takes place through dialogue and practical work alongside participants. The need for work training can, for example, stem from various types of functional variations, social problems, or language difficulties. Therefore, as a work supervisor, you have an important role in supporting and adapting to participants' needs. Being a work supervisor largely means functioning as a role model in the work situation; therefore, you will actively participate in all occurring work tasks. The work also involves ensuring that the services provided by the operations are performed with high quality. For Återbruket, this means handling items donated through the Recycling Center and making them saleable in our shop. In addition, we have cleaning and laundry assignments, as well as moving jobs. From April to October, we collaborate with the Recycling Center and provide staffing there. Two work supervisors work at Återbruket, and together you are responsible for planning, leading, and adapting work tasks. Safety and a good work environment are important in your role. Some administration, such as documentation and attendance management, is part of the position. You collaborate with work supervisor colleagues and the coordinator for the work training arenas. Together, you plan work distribution and assist each other in the different work teams. Your Competence For this position, you need: education in pedagogy, social work, or equivalent competence acquired through relevant work experience experience leading others B-class driver's license To succeed in the role, you are practical-minded and have the ability to both collaborate and work independently, as well as be solution-oriented. You have an empathetic ability combined with professional conduct, and with a belief in people's abilities, you are skilled at motivating others and teaching. You also have good organizational and planning skills. It is desirable that you also: have previously worked as a work supervisor at a work training arena have worked with people who were far from the job market have experience supervising people from different backgrounds have competence in carpentry and/or cleaning Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
