Our Mission In the national Support and Matching unit, we provide service and support via phone and remote meetings to job seekers across the entire country. We work with several important areas of responsibility such as matching, guidance and counseling, and decisions on measures for job seekers. Our main mission is to shorten the time spent in unemployment. We are also responsible for parts of the Public Employment Service's control function, which aims to ensure that job seekers and providers comply with applicable laws and regulations and prevent incorrect payments and fraud. The unit operates in Skara and Gothenburg and consists of approximately 190 employees. The placement location is Skara. Together we work toward common goals and can always count on each other's support in our daily work. Role Description We focus on job seekers, and in your role you will be an important support to job seekers, providing support and guidance in conversations to help them find a suitable place in the labor market. The work requires that you are curious and have the ability to make the difficult simple. A central part of the role is matching job seekers to employment and education, providing guidance, and making decisions on measures for our job seekers. To succeed in this role, we see that you enjoy: Providing support and managing the tasks you face in a good way Interpreting and applying laws and regulations Making decisions Matching and guiding job seekers toward work and studies Working with job seekers and assessing their situations Working on scheduled assignments Navigating and working in multiple systems at the same time Working toward set goals Working hours are between 08:00-16:30. Your employment will begin with an introduction period where you will be equipped with the necessary skills to handle your upcoming work tasks as a civil servant. Basic Requirements for the Position University/higher education with at least 180 credits (120 credits according to the previous system) Alternatively Have worked at the Public Employment Service as an employment specialist, decision officer, customer resource, case officer, or service officer And At least 2 years of work experience, totaling at least 50 percent for a combined two years Very good knowledge of Swedish Additional Qualifications for the Position Experience working with requirements for good service and professional conduct Work experience providing support and service digitally Relevant work experience in guidance and coaching Work experience interpreting and applying regulations The Swedish state values guide us in our daily work. Our Offer The position is a permanent full-time employment beginning with a six-month probationary period. Start date is autumn 2026 by agreement. The placement location is Skara. We offer favorable vacation agreements and the opportunity for flexible working hours by agreement with the employer (after completion of the introduction period of approximately 9 weeks).
