Working Foreman at Ikano Academy

We at Ikano Bostad work with care and commitment to manage and develop housing and areas where people feel comfortable and at home. We are now seeking a Working Foreman who is social, responsible, and has experience in grounds maintenance. As a Working Foreman, you will have an important role in leading and coaching participants in our Ikano Academy program, while in close collaboration with other colleagues, you are responsible for all external maintenance of our properties in Malmö. About Ikano Academy Ikano Academy is Ikano Bostad's program to help young adults on their way toward employment and studies. During a limited-term employment, participants gain practical experience in property-related tasks and receive guidance. This gives them the opportunity to develop, strengthen their self-confidence, and take the next step into working life. About the Position As a Working Foreman, you report to the person responsible for Ikano Academy and are supervised by the property manager. The role includes: Guiding and supporting Ikano Academy participants in daily work Working practically with green space maintenance in our areas together with participants Ensuring good maintenance standards for green spaces and outdoor environments Conducting daily inspections and rounds Working preventively with outdoor maintenance and our environment rooms Maintaining ongoing contact with contractors and property caretakers Contributing to the validation and development of participants Participating in improvement work related to customer surveys You will among other things: Perform gardening work such as weeding, planting, and pruning Plan, instruct, and train participants in practical tasks Operate simple machinery and train participants in safe working methods and risk management Support property caretakers with service requests and snow removal during winter Your Profile We are seeking a person with the following skills and experience: Education or experience with similar tasks Education in green space maintenance and/or work environment is a merit Natural leadership qualities and good communication skills Good knowledge of Swedish and English B driver's license Personal Qualities We place great emphasis on personal qualities for the role and how you complement our team.
