About Us Årsta Gård Foundation operates an adapted primary and secondary school with Waldorf pedagogy orientation located in southern Stockholm. We are beautifully situated in a large park next to Årstaviken. In the spacious park, we cultivate gardens and conduct much of the outdoor education that characterizes our school. Teaching is highly practical, as we believe hands-on learning increases students' opportunities to further develop their thinking in theoretical instruction. The school day has a clear, structured rhythm, as does the entire school year. Great emphasis is placed on communication, so that students have the opportunity to express themselves and be heard based on their individual abilities. Throughout the entire school year and across all school holidays, we are now seeking substitutes who want to work with our wonderful students. This is a good fit if you are perhaps studying remotely and have the ability to step in during daytime hours when regular staff are absent. Job Description As a student assistant, you will be with one or more students throughout their entire day during lessons and then during after-school/short-term supervision. You largely function as a bridge between the students and their surroundings. You are a calm and reassuring person who meets students based on their needs and abilities, and you work to ensure that everyone feels included. You take your own initiative to motivate, inspire, and stimulate students in their development. Together you will make the school day the best it can be! You help students with communication, personal hygiene (in some cases), mobility, during meal times, and in social interaction. Qualifications Meritorious: Experience from similar work Experience with the school's target group Experience working with TAKK (sign-supported communication) Experience working with visual supports Experience working with low-affect techniques Experience with CPR Experience with Waldorf pedagogy Driver's license (Category B) Since employment is at a school, you must be able to provide an acceptable certificate from the criminal record register.
