As a Signal Maintenance Engineer at Trafikverket, you are part of making everyday life easier for residents and businesses throughout Sweden. Work Tasks In the role of Signal Maintenance Engineer at Trafikverket, you support projects with technical expertise in operations and maintenance matters related to the signal technology area. Primarily, you will work in the base contract Långsele-Vännäs, Forsmo-Hoting including Botniabanan. There, you are an important resource for planning, follow-up, and analysis of facility work within your technology area. You support internal and external stakeholders with local and regional knowledge of the district's operations, facility permits, and needs. In your role as maintenance engineer, you will have contact with municipalities, contractors, construction managers, and the public. You will work partly in an office environment with our administrative systems as well as spend time in the field to ensure that contracts are performed according to the agreed contract and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, ordinances, and internal work instructions. Qualifications Who Are You? As a person: you collaborate easily and are communicative you have good ability to plan and structure you have good analytical ability and a holistic perspective you are responsible and can work independently you are initiative-taking and drive your matters forward We are looking for someone who: has signal technical education within railways has relevant and current work experience in railway signal technology has experience with administrative aspects of your work has good ability to learn computer systems and are a proficient user of the Office suite has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing has a driver's license for cars It is advantageous if you: have work experience from maintenance of signal interlocking systems have work experience from safety and maintenance inspections of railway facilities have knowledge of ERTMS signaling systems have knowledge of contract law Other Information The employment will be security vetted without placement in a security class.
