About the Operation In Vallentuna Municipality, we actively work with sustainable, healthy, and educational meals in our facilities. We focus on climate-smart, locally produced food and collaborate with local producers and suppliers. Together with Vallentuna Municipality's other operations, we develop the importance of school meals in relation to the school's educational mission. This can take the form of "vegetable school" with students and staff, through food councils, and by offering students the opportunity to intern or make study visits to our operation. In the national project "A New Recipe for School Meals" which started in 2021, we work at an overarching level together with schools to find the connection between school meals and the educational mission. Now we're looking for you to participate in developing the future's sustainable public meals together with us. Job Responsibilities As a meal service assistant, you are responsible for planning and preparation of salad buffets, catering, preparing service and dining areas for meals, serving, washing dishes, and cleaning. You also actively participate in other tasks that exist in a kitchen and are creative in collaboration with the kitchen chef and other staff. Hygiene and knowledge of the raw materials used are important, and we place great emphasis on your knowledge of special diets. Your commitment and sense of service are important for the meal experience as you daily meet our small and large meal guests. A few evening shifts occur during the year when parties and events take place. Qualifications You have experience working in restaurants and institutional kitchens. You have good knowledge of special diets. You have good knowledge of hygiene and self-inspections. You have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Education in restaurants and institutional kitchens is meriting. Personal Qualities You work toward results, show reliability, and take responsibility for planning and following up on your work.
