Welcome to us Today, 17 dedicated case officers, a group leader, and a unit manager work with us, together creating a supportive and developmental work environment. Every employee is an important part of our team, where we support each other in daily work and drive the unit's development forward. We handle applications according to the Social Services Act, the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments, and the National Travel Service Act. Our administrative department assists with invoice reviews and fee management, which gives us the opportunity to focus on social work and the core of case management. Your role As a benefits officer with us, you'll meet people between 0 and 65 years old with varying backgrounds and needs, including those with substance abuse issues, mental health problems, dementia, or physical care needs. You're responsible for investigating needs, making decisions about services, and collaborating with both internal and external actors to find the best solutions for our citizens. As a student employee, you'll receive a fixed-term position that applies for one term at a time. Working time is limited to a maximum of 15 hours per week on average per term, and how these are scheduled will be agreed upon at employment. Your main responsibilities include: Investigating and deciding on services that individuals have applied for according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments Assisting current case officers with administrative tasks Working in the city's social systems, such as Paraplyet and Lifecare Written documentation and case handling Your competence and experience We're looking for you who are studying to become a social worker and have completed your field placement. You must be enrolled and actively studying at a university or college. Proof of admission with study period will be obtained upon job offer. It's advantageous if you have experience in authority work and particularly in elderly care.
