The Church of Sweden in Lund is a pastorate with 7 parishes, 1 cathedral, 15 churches including one joint church with EFS, 3 chapels, and 2 preschools, burial services, and administrative offices. We also have a Hospital Church, Family Counseling, and a Diaconia Center. Here work over 200 employees and numerous volunteers, including over 130 elected representatives. The Church Council has overall responsibility and all activities are led by the Dean. Each parish has a Parish Council and a Parish Priest. We are looking for you—someone with a genuine interest in meeting people and who wants to be part of parish building in a multifaceted and active community. Together with colleagues, volunteers, and parishioners, you will have the opportunity to conduct diaconal work that makes a difference here and now in daily life as well as in long-term strategic efforts. Lund's Eastern City Parish We are an exciting blend of city church and rural church in northeastern and eastern Lund. With four churches from the 12th to 20th century and rapidly growing areas like Brunnshög and Råbylund, we are Lund's most populous parish, with great diversity in people, expressions, and needs. We are about 25 permanent staff members, including three deacons, and many volunteers. Worship is our foundation through which everything finds its grounding. In the coming years, we will place special emphasis on our focus areas: Children & Families, Confirmation, and Adult Ministry. About You We are looking for someone who is ordained as a deacon in the Church of Sweden, with experience in parish work, and who has creative thinking that can be put into practice. You are driven, outgoing, curious, and socially active in professional contexts, and you create and maintain contacts and relationships. You have a diaconal and pedagogical perspective that values people. We place great value on your ability to collaborate and your willingness to build bridges to other parts of society.
