Blomsterfonden – for a safer and richer life for the elderly
Blomsterfonden is a non-profit organization working to ensure that older adults have a safe home, professional care and support with a meaningful everyday life.
We operate five senior residential communities with vibrant social engagement, our own home care services, and four elderly care facilities where secure care is the focus.
Our goal is to give older people a richer life – filled with community, care, and joy of living. Our work is permeated by our ethical values: compassion, participation, clarity, and honesty.
The organization was founded in 1921 by Alma Hedin. Under her leadership, a distinctive spirit emerged – the Blomsterfonden spirit – which still characterizes our operations today. We continue Alma's legacy by cherishing what is at the heart of every human life: recognizing each individual's capacity, will, and emotional life.
Blomsterfonden also actively works to support family members. We arrange and participate in various forums to spread knowledge about the needs and life situations of the elderly.
