About the Operation Medication Unit Dalarna works region-wide to manage and develop the region's medication matters. The unit provides medication supply to hospital operations, performs care-related pharmaceutical services, and provides support in strategic medication issues. With us, employees can fully utilize their medication expertise and work for patient benefit in the same organization as other healthcare personnel. The operation consists of approximately 50 employees and has two departments - the Medication Supply department and the Medication department. Our employees are highly engaged, collectively possess broad medication expertise, and daily help each other solve issues that arise. The Medication Supply department has 25 employees and serves as Region Dalarna's hospital pharmacy function. The operation is regulated by medication rules and regulations, with the Medical Products Agency as the supervisory authority. We perform several medication services for healthcare, including: Dispensing of medications and medication-related goods Medication Service (LMS) Manufacturing of sterile medications including cytostatics and radiopharmaceuticals Liquid cart service The department has regular operations at Falun Hospital and Mora Hospital and provides services to Avesta Hospital, Ludvika Hospital, and Säters Hospital. Job Responsibilities To the Medication Supply department at Falun Hospital, we are now seeking you as a pharmacy assistant or pharmacy technician to strengthen our team. With us, you will work with medication supply services for healthcare. The tasks mainly include handling daily medication deliveries with goods receipt, picking and packing, and work in the medication rooms at the hospitals with unpacking medications and shelf-life control. Work in our manufacturing unit is also relevant, with tasks including routing material into clean rooms, ordering materials, and picking medications and materials for manufacturing. The primary work location for this position is Falun, with occasional travel for work. Working hours are weekdays excluding weekends, but weekend duty may occasionally occur during special occasions such as major holidays. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education has experience with medication handling has a manual category B driver's license has good computer skills communicates well in speech and writing in Swedish It is meritorious if you are trained as a pharmacy technician The work requires good physical condition as heavy lifting occurs.
