In the after-school program at Sjöängsskolan, instruction is designed to complement preschool and primary school. We have a holistic view of instruction where learning, development, and care are included. We continuously follow up on student and group development and use the results to develop the program. Job Description We are looking for a substitute who can manage our fantastic student café during the fall term. In the café, you work approximately until 2:30 PM, after which there is an opportunity to work in the after-school program. The student café with a break room offers our middle school students meaningful breaks. There is a well-equipped game room with ping-pong and pool tables. In the café, snacks, fruit, and simple food are sold at cost price. In the morning, there is an opportunity to buy a breakfast sandwich. In your role as manager, you place orders and manage the café operations during the day. You also involve students who help with sales. In your role as a social pedagogue, you provide support to students regarding social issues and collaborate with guardians, relevant professionals at the school, and any authorities/external parties. Your task is to provide students with knowledge and strategies within school and after-school activities to develop their social skills and to support them in social interaction in the student café. The role includes planning various events and activities in collaboration with other resource persons at the middle school level to increase student participation. Together with a PE teacher, you plan and conduct School Sports Club activities. You will be part of our safety work and responsible for organizing student social and group-building activities as well as being a guide in conflict resolution work between students. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for you who are trained as a social pedagogue or have equivalent competence. We would like to see that you have experience working with children/youth in a school environment and have independently managed and been responsible for an activity or project. It is meritorious if you have experience running a similar activity as requested. As a person, you are: calm and stable, with a good ability to communicate and build positive relationships with students and thereby create a sense of security. engaged, responsible, flexible, and self-directed. You have a clear focus on students and a positive attitude toward students, your work, and the entire school. We place great importance on personal suitability. Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination. To work at our schools, you must present a valid extract from the police criminal record and suspicion register before an employment offer. Within the Education Administration, we apply individual salary setting regulated by HÖK and General Provisions (AB).
