DUTIES
As a recreation supervisor, you will also work in the classroom during school hours. Together with colleagues, you will lead and develop the recreation program based on the recreation curriculum. In Hallstahammar Municipality, we have two overarching work groups focused on development and administration to increase consistency in recreation programs across Hallstahammar. We actively work to strengthen collaboration between Nibbleskolan's two recreation programs—one for primary school and one for Adapted Primary School.
Adapted Primary School conducts active student health work where our student health team, consisting of special educators, speech therapist, psychologist, counselor, school nurse, and principal, guides staff in daily operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek a certified recreation supervisor with an interest in developing the program. We are looking for someone with experience working with Adapted Primary School students in both classroom and recreation settings. A significant part of your daily work will be serving as the link between the special educator and students during classroom instruction. You should also be able to actively participate in students' swimming instruction. We are seeking someone who sees possibilities and wants to provide our students with experiences and knowledge about recreational activities and the local community.
As a person, you are calm, confident, and able to create a creative work environment that encourages motivation and learning based on the curriculum. You act according to the school's and recreation program's goals and policies, placing great emphasis on collegial collaboration. Of course, you are able to see possibilities and solutions and are not hesitant to contribute your own ideas. You communicate with colleagues, students, and parents in a way that builds good relationships.
A background check clearance must be provided before employment. This position will be filled pending necessary approvals.
