We offer health and medical care locally and regionally, as well as highly specialized care to patients throughout the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength and they contribute to knowledge exchange nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new working methods, we can simplify daily operations at the hospital and provide modern, accessible and efficient care of the highest quality. About the Business Area The AnOpIVA East operation encompasses an intensive and postoperative care unit, two operating departments with shared management, Pain Center, Hyperbaric Chamber, Complex Fatigue Unit, Prehospital Intensive Care Unit and Swedish Air Ambulance (KSA). Within the business area, continuous development and teaching work is carried out, as well as broad research comprising both clinical studies and basic laboratory research. At Intensive Care Unit 343 East (ICU/PostOp), critically ill patients requiring advanced treatment and careful monitoring due to vital function failure are cared for. The patient group is unique in its variation and reflects the business areas present at East Hospital: Surgery, which conducts advanced abdominal surgery with several national assignments; Infection, including tropical medicine; Internal Medicine; Psychiatry; Scandinavia's largest maternity unit; and the Hyperbaric Chamber, which is Sweden's only facility with 24-hour readiness for hyperbaric medical treatment. Postoperative care is provided both at the postoperative unit located adjacent to the intensive care unit and open 24/7, and at a day-care postoperative unit adjacent to operating department 2. The unit is staffed by both general nurses and nurses with intensive care competence as well as other care personnel. Currently, focus is on planning and implementing new working methods as well as improving and streamlining the perioperative flow. What Can We Offer You?
