Rehab West consists of four clinics in the western part of Stockholm; Bromma, Kista, Spånga, and Ekerö. Our mission is primary care rehabilitation within the Patient Choice system, which includes clinic visits, home visits, assistive device trials, and team-based home rehabilitation. The team includes dietitians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and receptionists. Our clinic in Spånga has the additional responsibility of running a neuro team with a speech-language pathologist, social worker, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. The mission is to provide rehabilitation for people who have recently suffered a stroke as well as people with other acquired neurological injuries or diseases. The team's catchment area covers the entire western part of Stockholm. You can read more about this at Benefits at Stockholm Region Healthcare Job Responsibilities With us, you will work in a team with a physiotherapist, speech-language pathologist, and social worker. Rehabilitation takes place primarily in the patient's home and their immediate surroundings, but also at the clinic for individual treatment and/or in groups. The patient population includes people who are newly or recurrently affected by stroke as well as patients with other acquired brain injuries or neurological diseases that have been assessed at neurology clinics in inpatient or outpatient care. Services are provided in close collaboration with the patient's family and other care providers. In addition to assessment and treatment, the work includes assistive device trials. Employment Type Permanent employment starting by agreement. Full-time 40 hours/week. A trial period may be applied. Qualifications Licensed occupational therapist Category B driver's license Experience in primary care is meritorious, as is a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or other further education Clinical experience with patients with neurological disabilities is meritorious Other Information: If you are or have previously been employed by Region Stockholm, we will request internal references from your current or former manager if you become a candidate for employment. When working in patients' homes, you must be comfortable in environments with pets and not be sensitive to smoke odor.
