The Community Development Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six departments, responsible for several central community functions. With approximately 450 employees, we work with planning, development, and management of the municipality's infrastructure, properties, parks, and outdoor environments. The department is also responsible for water and sewage operations, waste management, meal services, facility maintenance, and emergency services.
You will be part of the Streets and Parks Division within the Community Development Administration. Together, the division's approximately 60 employees handle operation and maintenance of streets, pedestrian and cycling paths, parks, property land, green spaces, and other public areas. We have our own workshop/storage facility. We also carry out construction work in-house where you will be placed.

DUTIES
Your work duties will consist of road and water construction, pipe laying, fine grading, paving and stone setting, installation of playground equipment, and water/sewage maintenance.
You will perform these duties within various maintenance and development projects. On-call service may be part of the position.
You will work from our facility on Ramstadgatan in Mjölby or start your day from one of the ongoing job sites.
You are responsible for inspecting, daily supervision, and maintenance of your vehicle/equipment, and we ensure you have the right conditions to do a good job.
Your primary working hours are during the day, but you may be included in our on-call group which may involve work at other times around the clock. The on-call service is year-round and rotates according to schedule.
Work is performed within Mjölby Municipality.
QUALIFICATIONS
It is an advantage if you have secondary education in construction and civil engineering or equivalent education/experience, which is deemed equivalent by the employer. A class B driver's license is required.
