The department consists of the divisions for Planning, Water & Sewage, Engineering, Construction & Environment, and Parks & Facilities. Our Parks & Facilities division is the department's operational unit and currently consists of 15 employees in our facilities section and 8 in our parks section. The division is undergoing a generational transition with retirements, and we are therefore seeking new talent who want to take over. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a facilities worker in Alvesta Municipality, you will primarily work with maintenance and new construction of the municipal water and sewage network. We also carry out other types of earthwork and facilities tasks within the municipality such as playgrounds, bus terminal, stormwater basins, etc. We also maintain our streets and roads in both summer and winter. As we are a smaller department with many different types of assignments, the work is relatively varied. You'll be based at our office in Alvesta, and assignments take place throughout the municipality. We can offer varied work in a well-knit and experienced team. The position involves significant independent responsibility but also great freedom to plan and organize your work together with your colleagues. The work also involves contact and collaboration with other units within the municipality as well as external parties. On-call duties are included in the position. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with a secondary education in facilities/construction or equivalent qualifications that we deem equivalent, as well as several years of practical experience in the facilities sector, preferably in water and sewage network work. We're looking for someone who is engaged and enjoys your profession. The work is often carried out in groups, and you need to be a team player who helps and supports your colleagues to achieve high-quality work. For us, it's self-evident that you are service-oriented, and we appreciate people with drive and initiative who can help improve our operations. You must speak Swedish well, both spoken and written. We place great importance on your personal qualities that make our team stronger. As our facilities manager with special responsibility for our truck will be retiring in the future, we see it as a merit if there is interest in taking over this responsibility. The position requires at least a Class C driver's license, but since we use several types of machinery, additional licenses are considered an asset. Employment type: Permanent employment.
