Job Responsibilities
As a traffic infrastructure specialist, you will work with installation, maintenance, and general oversight of road signs and directional signage in the City of Malmö. We also handle installation and maintenance of street name signs, pedestrian and bicycle route signage. You will perform traffic closures when necessary to ensure a safe work environment for personnel at job sites. You will be part of a work team and will primarily work on operations, maintenance, and new installations. Standby work, TMA operations, and lift work may occur. The role involves considerable truck driving. The Traffic Group primarily works with the Property and Street Office on repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with upper secondary education. A Class B driver's license, Class C driver's license, and YKB certification are required. We want you to have at least 2 years of experience in construction and infrastructure work. You need good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have:
Lift operator certification
Hot work certification
Fall protection training
Crane operator certification
Road Safety 1 & 2
In the role of traffic marker, you should be responsible and punctual, as our work is largely governed by applicable laws and regulations. As a person, you are also engaged and enjoy working with colleagues. You learn instructions quickly and can work well under stressful situations. You have no problem controlling your emotions in difficult situations and can maintain a positive attitude toward others.
