Description Angered Outpatient Hospital is the small hospital with a big mission. The surgery department at Angered Outpatient Hospital is an organizational unit employing approximately 35 employees responsible for the entire surgical process. Surgery coordinators, anesthesiologists, nurses, nursing assistants, and a unit manager work together here with the patient in focus. The surgery department at Angered Outpatient Hospital has four operating rooms and a well-adapted pre- and postoperative unit for the assignment. We treat patients in the areas of surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and urology both independently and in collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Angered Surgery also has a major responsibility related to insertion and removal of venous ports. We perform operations on both children and adults. We are looking for you – an anesthesia nurse who wants to work with day surgery where you meet both children and adults. You will have a key role in perioperative care and perform common tasks within the anesthesia nursing profession – prepare the patient for surgery, general anesthesia or sedation, assist with regional and local anesthesia, and postoperative care. You work independently while being part of a team with the goal of meeting the patient's needs in an efficient day surgery flow. Qualifications A nursing degree with Swedish professional authorization and specialist training in anesthesia care is a requirement. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is a requirement. Additional language skills are viewed as an advantage. Experience with day surgery flow, pediatric anesthesia, and postoperative care is meritorious. Personal Qualities You have a care focus, are thorough, and place patient safety high. You are unpretentious, find it easy to build relationships, and enjoy working in a team. Terms The schedule is fixed and arranged on weekdays daytime with work shifts where you start later approximately once a week and work until 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM.
