About the Assignment
The assignment as education-responsible anesthesia nurse involves region-wide responsibility for education and orientation within anesthesia. You work closely with the operations and have an important role in ensuring a common competence level at our anesthesia units across the region. The assignment is combined with clinical work as a specialist nurse in anesthesia and is shared between two anesthesia nurses (50% educational assignment per person).
• Responsible for orientation of newly hired anesthesia nurses at USÖ, KGA, and LBG
• Responsible for orientation of registered nurses and nursing assistants in anesthesia operations at USÖ, KGA, and LBG
• Responsibility for the regional parts KGA and LBG is distributed equally
• Plan continuing education for nurses and nursing assistants within the ANIVA anesthesia clinic
• Monitor the clinic's need for education and development for nurses and nursing assistants in consultation and dialogue with TAL, TAS, SKU, experts, MT coordinator, and assistant unit managers
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct planning and training days as well as follow up on continuing education initiatives
• Identify the operation's needs for education and competence development
• Collaborate with the study director for ST education in planning and placement of various training categories
• Contact person to the University, study director, and adjunct clinical adjuncts
• Coordinate and register participants for courses and training across the region
• Responsible for planning the annual training week (week 34) together with other responsible persons at the entire clinic
Other Information:
• 50% educational assignment / 50% clinical work. Summer period: 100% clinical work
• Clinical work is a prerequisite for the assignment
• Assignment provider: operations manager, unit manager, and assistant managers
• Work is planned in close dialogue with the unit manager and assistant managers
• Work takes place in close collaboration with other professions within the care chain
• Clinical work is planned in collaboration with the assistant unit manager and scheduling coordinator

About the Operations
The anesthesia and intensive care operations area conducts operations at the region's three hospitals: Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindsberg Hospital. It is a large operations area with approximately 400 employees. Our work areas include anesthesia, intensive care, operating service (postop and day surgery), and a neuro-intermediate ward. At Karlskoga Hospital, there is an anesthesia ward, intensive care ward, and a postoperative unit.
