The operating unit in Ljungby is one of the units under the anesthesia clinic at the hospital, and we are approximately 50 committed staff members who together conduct both planned and acute surgical operations at the unit. We have 5 operating rooms as well as 2 rooms for endoscopy and minor procedures. The operating unit conducts acute and planned surgical operations with highly specialized patient care in surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, otolaryngology, pediatrics, and dentistry. WORK TASKS At the operating unit you will have interesting and varied work. As an anesthesia nurse with us, you have diverse and meaningful work. You work broadly within your specialist area and contribute your expertise in procedures and other treatments. You play a central role here in ensuring the highest quality and patient safety, and your presence is critical. You work together with other professionals in the operating room, and together you contribute your areas of expertise before, during, and after surgery. In the team, your task is to reassure the patient and prepare the patient for the procedure, contributing to safe care. The work also includes an important consultative role, where you serve as expert support to other operations within the hospital and in acute situations, as well as specific cases requiring anesthesia expertise. You assist with trauma alerts, stabilization, and patient transports between hospitals. You also provide support and advice to other healthcare professionals who need guidance or help with anesthesia-related interventions. The position includes day, evening, and weekend shifts. QUALIFICATIONS You who are applying must be a licensed nurse with further education in anesthesia, and we would like you to have professional experience in the field, but even more important is your personal suitability and ability to collaborate.
